We have a couple of requirements for all applicants, please make sure you meet these requirements and follow the instructions when applying.

-Ability to get on Teamspeak (TS) (note voice is not required, but being able to listen is)
-Follows the community rules but particularly: (1) Don’t be a jerk; (2) If on PS2 during MERC ops you must be playing with us & on TS

Where did you hear about us, or why did you want to join?
{I heard about Merc off of Cyrious’ YouTube channel. I want to join because Cyrious talks about how great the community in his Outfit is and I’m recently coming back to Planetside 2. I was a former NC player but I never could seem to find “the group”. Being a new player (about two years ago) I loved the concept of the game but just couldn’t seem to get into it. Figuring that community was the solution and after the DX11 update, I figured it was time to come back but come back the right way. I want to be a part of a good community of competent and cooperative players. That was something that the NC just didn’t seem to have (Go TR!). }

Anything else you wish to inform us of?
{I’m a team player and will always follow orders for the sake of the win. I am a firm believer in being humble and teachable. I’m not a pro player, but I am willing to learn and be taught by those who are more experienced at the game than me. That was something else that attracted me to Merc. I could clearly see that Cyrious was a much more competent player of Planetside 2 and how the game works. Having players like that in an outfit is how you win and that is definitely something I want to be a part of. I’m a college student as well so win finals come along, I may be absent for Wednesday and Friday night ops.}

Tell us a joke!
{I’m from the South and I’m really into horses so one day I went to a horse ranch to look at horses I could by. One of the ranch workers was Hispanic and his English was somewhat limited. As I was looking at these horses I saw this beautiful, gorgeous, big and strong white horse; like the one from the Lone Ranger. I told Pedro the ranch worker that I wanted that horse and Pedro said, “Oh no Senor!! He no look to good!!” And I said, “Pedro what are you talking about this horse looks fantastic!” “Oh no Senor!!!!! HE NO LOOK TO GOOD!!!!” Despite Pedro’s claims, I said, “Pedro, I’m taking this horse out for a ride, and when I come back, I’m going to buy it.” And Pedro exclaims, “NO NO NO SENOR!!!! HE NO LOOK TO GOOD!!!!!” So I take the horse out on a mountain trail. We were just trotting along and there was a log down over the trail. As we got closer I knew that the horse would just hop the log. But instead, the horse trips over the long, throws me off, and nearly falls on me and kills me!! Low and behold, the horse was blind. Very upset, I took the horse back to Pedro and say,”PEDRO!!! THIS HORSE IS BLIND!!!” and Pedro said, “Si Senor. He no look to good.”}

Also, please note that while we don’t require or take attendance at ops, it is expected that if you are playing PS 2 during those times, that you are signed in to your MERC character and playing with us and on ts.

Hey, sorry it took so long to get back to you. Operations are Wed/Fri at 6PM PST. We use Teamspeak at ts.theterranalliance.com for voice comms. Just stay in lobby at the beginning of our ops and we’ll get you in as soon as we see you. Hope to see you soon!
