    MERC Gaming Group Application Form

    Name(s):
Variants of Zoltan in some games, variants of LoneWolf in others (I know it’s cringy).  My three current characters in PS2 are Zoltan955342, Zoltan955343, and Zoltan955344.  My main character’s name in Eve Online is Wolf Lafisques.

    Age 18+?
    Yes, I’m 29.

    Access to Teamspeak?
    Yes.

Joined us on TS @ ts.theterranalliance.com previously?
No.  I will do this soon.

What game(s) are you interested in joining up with MercGG for?
Currently just PS2.  I haven’t looked into what other games MercGG is involved in.  I may expand into other games, but I currently have a pretty big boner for PS2.

What is your level or rank in this game?
BR12 or 13.  I think I may need to change servers though, I can’t remember what server I made my characters on.

    Any alternate characters?
I mentioned my other PS2 character names above.  955343 and 955344 are both BR1.  I’ve only been playing on 955342.

Where did you hear about us, or why did you want to join?
I recently got back into PS2 after a VERY long hiatus.  I originally got into the game back in 2012 or early 2013.  I started watching PS2 videos on youtube and stumbled upon Cyrious Gaming’s videos.  He seems very competent, and I’ve noticed in other games, Eve Online for example, that competence attracts competence.  Which lead me to believe that MercGG would probably be a good group of dudes to team up with, offering competent leadership and a lot to learn.  I want to learn more about the game and become a better player, and I feel like this group can help with that.

Anything else you wish to inform us of?
I have a tendency to take extended breaks from games because I will burn myself out on them, and other games that I haven’t played for a while will attract my attention.  Sometimes I just get tired of playing video games all together and assimilate myself back into the real world for a while.  I need to have the freedom to do this.  If I’m gone for a month, that doesn’t mean that I’m not coming back.  However, this has been a problem for groups that I’ve played with in the past as they had strict activity requirements.  I will not ask you to change your policies or to make an exception just for me, but I also don’t want to feel like my games are becoming a chore or a second job, as they have in the past.

I will always try to inform the group that I’m going to be out of game for a while, but I usually end up taking breaks from games without even meaning to.  I simply come home from work, school, or whatever I’m doing during the day, and just choose to do something that isn’t the game that I’ve been playing without really thinking about it.  Then after x amount of time, I’ll be like “hey, I haven’t played that game in a while”, and I’ll fire it up again.  If there are activity requirements that I can’t keep up with and if it becomes a problem, then I’ll politely see myself out without incident.  I understand that things like this aren’t personal.  It’s merely a matter of whether I fit with the group or not, because the group obviously won’t change itself to fit me, and I don’t expect it to.

    Tell us a joke!
This joke is a bit long.

So there’s this sailor who’s fresh out of training and just arrived at his unit.  Like most boots, he doesn’t know his ass from his elbows.  His unit is getting ready to set out for sea in a couple of months, and he arrives just in time for a few weeks of training with his unit before they set sail.  The day finally comes and everyone is loading up their gear onto the vessel.  It’s a submarine, so naturally he’s a little nervous, but excited as well.  His seniors give him a tour of the sub, showing him where all of the important stuff is like the mess hall, the barracks, the area where he’ll be working, and the heads (bathrooms).

As they wrap up their tour, they show him one last important place.  It’s a head that sort of out of the way down a corridor that most people never use, and has an out-of-order sign on it.  The young sailor’s seniors say to him, “We’re gonna be at sea for 6 months, and a lot of that time is going to be spent submerged.  A lot of guys start to get real lonely”.  They walk him toward the back of the bathroom as they talk to him, down to the last stall.  One of them opens the door, and points to a hole in the wall.  “If you ever start to feel lonely,” he says, “come back here and put your dick in that hole, and all of your problems will vanish”.

“It’s just a joke,” he thinks to himself.  “They can’t be serious”.  He casts it off as just a dumb prank that they’re trying to pull on the new guy, which to be fair is quite common in the military.  Well, they’re out at sea for a few weeks, and sure enough he starts to feel pretty lonely.  He starts thinking about that hole.  “There’s no way it’ll do anything, there’s nothing back there,” he thinks.  “…Then again…it couldn’t hurt to give it a try”.  He goes to the head, walks into the back stall, puts his dick into the hole in the wall, and sure enough all of his problems vanish, just as they said!

He starts visiting the hole regularly, and it’s making his time at sea absolutely sail by.  Then one day the hole doesn’t work for him.  He tries a couple of times, but no matter what, nothing.  “Maybe it’s broken,” he thinks.  He goes and reports this to the others.  They exchange glances with each other, then one of them looks at him and says, “Yeah…  Didn’t you know?”  “What,” he asks.  “Today is your day in the hole”.

    Zoltan,

Thank-you for your interest in MercGG.

We are more interested in ‘fit’ than activity.  That said, we do ask that should you play PS2 during our twice-weekly op times, you play with us and not on another faction/server.

Please join us for a couple of Wed. and Fri. night ops as a guest so we can see if we are a good fit for each other, and then when you hit BR25 we can invite you to the outfit.

I look forward to playing with you,

    Meliande

    Hi,

I saw you tried to get on teamspeak.
Try again, sometimes it takes us awhile to get to you, and until provide permissions, you won’t be able to see anyone.

Hey, just want to post an update.  I’ve reached BR 25 and I’ve participated in a few of the ops, as well as squading up with some of the guys at other times.  I hope the consensus is that I’m a good fit for the outfit.  I’ve enjoyed playing with you guys so far and have learned a fair bit.

Thank-you, we will keep this in mind.
